Women 1950's

In the 1950's, in England, women had to do the housework. Women couldn't drink alcohol, smoke, vote go out without men they were not ollowed to work. The were not free. But they had to cook, take care of children, do the chores. Today, women can drink alcohol, smoke, vote, they have money, they can work. They are free.

The cartoon, the cartoonist wants to show the inequality between men and women during the 1950's.

In the foreground, we can see children who are playing with toys in the kitchen, women who is cooking and doing the dishes. In the middleground, we can see men who is speaking.

The women represents all wives who do the chores and who are not free. The men reprensents all men who work and who are free.
